The world of business has always been tough and when you set up a firm, you expect to have to compete with rival enterprises determined to steal your market share and drive you out of the market.

However, thanks to the difficult economic conditions that have been seen in the UK and elsewhere since the recession, it is now particularly difficult to stay one step ahead of the game.

This may be causing your company to suffer and meaning you suffer many a sleepless night.

But rather than simply accepting the difficulties, there are ways in which you can fight back and launching special deals may be one way in which this can be achieved.

After all, consumers are always seeking a bargain and if you can trump your rivals in this respect, you may win their loyalty and, most importantly of all, their cash.

For example, you could provide two-for-one offers on your products or services, or you could cover the VAT for certain purchases.

Of course, there is no point in putting on these deals if no one is aware of them. So it is crucial that you advertise the fact and get as much attention as possible.

A great way of achieving this is to engage in flyer distribution. This means consumers will know be in the know and may choose to make the most of the offerings.

Leaflet distribution of this kind is cheap and can really get tongues wagging. Before you know it, your till may be ringing with the sweet sound of cold hard cash.

And flyer distribution like this can be used by businesses of all sizes. So, maybe it’s time you created some deals and made people aware via leaflet distribution.

One great way for mortgage brokers and loan officers to market the benefits of their products and services is with a Blog.

There are many sites on the internet that allow for you to set up a Blog for free. They also make it very easy for beginners to set up their Blog allowing for them to choose their own url name and template.

On your Blog you can put a photo of yourself, allowing for potential customers to put a name with your face. You can also put a short biography of yourself to allow your potential clients an opportunity to get to know a little more about you.

This is a great way to allow for customers to find a comfort level with you.

Once you have the name and template set up, you can than begin to add information about the products and services you have to offer, and how they can benefit your customer, and meet their needs.

Than, every day, post a new topic. It can be an article you have written yourself on the mortgage industry, or just some information on a new product or promotion you are offering. New material added to your Blog on a daily basis will keep customers coming back to your Blog.

Believe me, you do not need to be a rocket scientist or have a degree in computer science to build a Blog. A Blog can be built in less than five minutes by anyone that wants to do it. It is very simple.

Once you have your Blog in place, you can add the url address to your e-mail address and you can also have it put on your business cards.

Whenever you are dealing with a new client, end the conversation by asking them to visit your Blog.

Also, blogs are a great way to communicate with other professionals in the mortgage industry. Encourage other loan officers to visit your Blog and post their thoughts, comments, or industry related material.

Building your own Blog is definitely worth looking into, so give it a shot. It is another great tool to add to your mortgage marketing arsenal.

Knowing the difference between short run printing and print on demand is a key point to be able to understand comprehensively these two printing services. Short run printing and print on demand are somewhat alike, in terms in process perhaps. However, these two has their own dissimilarities.

By definition, short run is an industry term used to describe replication or duplication in small quantities, usually from 1-500 copies. Short run printing allows you to print smaller quantities. You can print as few as 500 copies of whatever you need printing, whether it be color post cards, posters, or flyers. Short run printing also means that you can get your printing needs returned to you faster.

And print on demand is a latest technology that uses digital printing techniques to produce standard prints in a rapid and cost-effective process.

In regards to their dissimilarities, print on demand, this is the making of one copy at a time through a diversity of manufacturing methods and short run production, which produces very small amount, mostly used for course adoption and small book-trade orders.

Print on demand is a fairly new adaptation of the short run printing technologies that most of printing companies utilizes to produce high quality short run print. However, there are quite a few differences between short run printing and print on demand printing.

• Print on demand printing typically gives you a choice of standard templates and offer very little custom design and little-to-no thought for your printing project. Short run printing does not offer standard templates.
• Most of print on demand printing service produces books sized to 5.5″x8.5″ with no exceptions, thin volume books; they cannot have print on the spine. Very few print on demand service can produce a book with an integrated graphical hardback case-made cover. Short run printing does not require a standard size. Since short run printing can customize the design each book, short run printing can also produces books that are unique and stand out.
• Print on demand printing typically only creates trade hardback books. Short run printing produce completely custom, library edition oversewn or smythsewn hardback books that will last for generations.
• Print on demand printing publish your work on an “as is” basis and leave everything up to you. Short run printing can handle the entire publishing process for you.

No matter how many dissimilarities these two may have they both end up in a the same method, these two uses similar digital printing processes.

Global marketing is nothing but marketing done on national and international level and which involves understanding the similarities, dissimilarities and taking advantage of the opportunities to attain the goal. Concentrating on global marketing is as important as concentrating on domestic marketing if a company is aiming to increase sales. a dollar sign is the cheesiest

The domestic market has become saturated in most categories of products and services, in all industrialized countries and hence, they started to deal with other countries to increase their sales. Usually in such case, goods that are too expensive for the domestic customers to buy are exported to other well-off countries.

When a company does marketing within the boundaries of a specific county, it has to compete with other domestic companies as well as international companies who are a part of the market. The marketing steps taken by the professionals are based on the taste of a specific audience. The product might not suit the taste of customers at a higher level. The other domestic companies that plan to go global hinder the growth of such companies. They become invisible at the international level as they are unable to cope with the growing competition and might not be aware of potential competitors. The product development is dependant on the need of the local residents. Such kinds of businesses are ethnocentric and are only bothered about their performance in the domestic marketplace.

Companies planning to go global should start with export to a foreign client first. The returns wouldn’t be satisfying in the beginning. The export department can be introduced at the headquarters that deals with all the laws. There can be a possibility of becoming secondary exporters by bringing export management company into the picture, who will deal with the language problem, time difference, paperwork and customers. If managing the exports without any help, the export department can be started at an office located abroad. This office works in collaboration with the regional headquarters. But the respective offshore offices take the marketing decisions, as they will have best knowledge about the particular market they are operating in.

Multinational marketing involves marketing in many countries. The marketing is based on the requirements of different countries and the returns are rewarding. Each region should be studied individually based on development, production and marketing. Such kinds of markets are known as region centric. Global marketing involves the whole globe. The entire world is summarized as a single market and the products that are released in the market should fit the needs of any regional marketplace. Marketers all over the world make the marketing decisions. Such a kind of market is known as geocentric.

Automotive industry is one such market that saw a global boost in sales during the last fifty years. Earlier only the local companies like Ford and General Motors used to produce cars in America, but today other international competitors like Toyota and Honda are operating in the same market and have out done the local companies. Another key factor to the global marketing is the Internet, which introduced e-commerce. Businesses went going online and global. This encouraged the sales of the company and the figures are only increasing because of ever increasing Internet users. The geographical location of customers is no longer a hindrance. Global marketing management and business-to-business e-commerce is growing rapidly.

Product, price, placement and promotion are the elements of global marketing. The product created should be such that it can sell anywhere using the same method. It should consider the primary elements of all the markets. However, the language in which the product is named can be changed, where as the content can remain the same. The price is never constant. It should be decided after reviewing the market and the currency of the country. The variables which affect prices are location where the product is being produced, cost of ingredients, transportation charges, labor charges, etc.

Placement is how the product is distributed and how it reaches the targeted market. Like in third world countries, there is a lack of superstores, so they can be placed or sold at ordinary shops. After the product is developed and distributed, it should be promoted precisely known as advertising, promotion is one of the major steps of marketing and consumes major part of the budget. If it is possible to send out the same message worldwide in a relevant and cost-effective way, it sure must be put into practice but the challenge is really big.

All business owners know that the most vital part of a promotional material is the message that it communicates to the customers. That is why even the logo has to be carefully designed and created to make sure that it gives the right meaning.

In the past, there is actually no need to put logos in stores or in the products. This is because there is little competition and oftentimes, towns only have one clothing store, restaurant or general store. But today, things have changed. From everyday necessities such as toothpastes and soaps to expensive jewelries and clothes, there are literally hundreds of different suppliers and retailers. Competition is stiff, that is why most of these vendors are looking for the best way to make their products stand out among the rest.

Picture you are in a grocery store. You need some soaps and shampoos. So you went to the section where these products are displayed. You will be surprised to know that there are quite a number of brands to choose from. If you are the kind of customer who doesn’t stick to one brand you will have a hard time choosing which brand of soap or shampoo is best for you. But most customers today look for consistency and familiarity when it comes to products they need on a daily basis. Hence, a good logo will create a differentiating characteristic of a brand that will eventually become familiar to customers.

Simply put, business owners use logo because they are good stimulants that once a customer sees a particular logo they will immediately remember what brand it is. With the seemingly complex way of modern life today, people just don’t have a lot of time to research all the benefits and features of each brand. They simply take note of the logo and know immediately what these products are all about. In addition, with the advent of the Internet, shopping has never been easier. Just like when people shop in stores, they also look for familiar brands when browsing through the Internet. Hence, when you have a good logo people will not have a hard time recognizing your brand. Logos are in a way the simplest, most direct way of promoting your business. It is like an overall statement of what you are about, minus the lengthy statements. Since logos are distinct graphic images, they can easily create name recognition and easily entice your target customers.

Multe Level marketing is appealing to many. It offers the opportunity to work part time with potential to make full time wages. Some people make quite a bit of money with these programs, but it requires hard work to get to the top. Choosing a multi level marketing program can be difficult. There are so many of them, and they will all offer you the potential to get rich with minimal effort. Here are some suggestions for choosing a muli level marketing program.

Start with a program that find interesting. This is a part-time job, and you want to pick something you enjoy.

When choosing a multi level marketing program, look for something new, something that not everybody is already doing. It helps if the product caters to a growing or underserved market. Start with a company that has been in business for several years. Some MLM companies don’t last.

Watch for unrealistic sales quotas before choosing a multi level marketing program. Some programs actually seem to set you up for failure. Talke to as many people in the program as you can. Use the internet for research.

When choosing a multi level marketing program, there are many factors to consider. Remember that these programs are about selling, and the various programs will try to sell you on why theirs is the best. Find a program with products that interest you and then find out as much as possible about it. Choose well and enjoy your second income.

Creating blazing flyers that focus on benefits will go a long way toward making a successful sale and more money.

When you are selling something or opening a new store you need to advertise. But oftentimes people starting up a business do not have enough cash to advertise. This is where flyer printing can help you. Flyers are one of the cheapest but most effective ways to market a product or service. They can be typically produced as handouts that can be distributed during street fairs or parades or keepers that can be mailed and send out to selected prospects.

One common mistake that business owners commit when advertising through flyers is distributing these promotional materials. This can be a costly mistake. So to avoid losing customers you have to consider your type of business in the first place. Make sure that you put it up in a location where most of your target customers are located. After considering these you can distribute your flyer within and around your existing cluster of customers. Remember also to reach the right people in the area. If your flyer is about lawn care or landscaping it will be a waste to distribute it to apartments. Thus, carefully point out your prospects before going out and distributing your flyers.

To enhance the marketability of your flyer add something unique to it. You can experiment with horizontal, vertical or diagonal cuts. Doing so, you can make the flyer funkier and eye catching. Also, do not underestimate the use of the color black. Even for a colorful print black is a must. It can be used for headings, subheadings and headlines.

In addition, aside from using door to door distribution post the flyers in areas were it is allowed. For ease in distribution you can keep a few flyers in your car so that when the opportunity arises you can easily hand it out or post it. On top of this, it is important to stick with the image and message that you have told your customers the first day you created your flyer. So when you print new flyers do not change your story just to make it more interesting. Remember that customers want consistency and professionalism. They are more loyal to businesses that they can trust. Hence, whether you mail, hang up or hand out your flyers make your flyer say ‘look at me’.

I just bought a product after being on a list for over two years. I hadn’t spent one red cent with this guy for two years, but like clockwork, his e-mails just kept coming.

Day after day after day. Week after week.

I finally gave in and purchased his product recently (it’s in a field WAY outside marketing).

Why did I stay on his list for so long? And why did I finally pony up the cashola for his product?

It’s because he had taught me to respond. Just like he taught everyone on his list to respond.

How did he do it? Lucky for you, I’m a sharing guy.

Here are three things he did to build a responsive list…

1. He Built Rapport With His Readers

2. He Created Excitement And Anticipation

3. He Expanded His Line Of Products

Let’s look briefly at each one

1. He Built Rapport With His Readers

The guy told stories. He made it personal. Over the two years, I got to know him through his emails. And here’s the clincher…

I look forward to getting his emails! Even though I get hundreds a day, I read his first.

That’s powerful. If you can get your readers to look forward to getting your stuff, you can tap into that monee tree like a faucet.

So, build rapport with your readers by making your stuff personal.

2. He Created Excitement And Anticipation

It never failed. He told me all the time…

“Hey, watch out for what I’ve got planned next Wednesday.”

or…

“During the last week of this month, I’m gonna do something really special for you. Watch your e-mail.”

He got his list excited about things he had planned. I caught myself always wishing the day would hurry up and get here so he’d uncover his surprise for me.

My buddy Jeff Walker does this brilliantly. If you’re not on his list at…

http://www.sixinseven.com

… you should be. Read the e-mails you get from Jeff. You’ll know EXACTLY what I’m talking about here.

When you build YOUR lists, try to excite and ignite them by making ‘em look foward to your stuff.

3. He Expanded His Line Of Products

One thing that always made me envious about this guy is how fast he created products for his list. The dude was like a machine!

It seemed like he was coming out with something every couple of weeks for us to buy.

Now, this is important, so listen up here…

If you want to teach your list to RESPOND, you have to give them something to respond to over and over.

Read that last sentence again.

Give your list something to buy (either your products or affiliate products). Give them something to do (fill out surveys, tell you what they want, tell you where to stuff your latest product).

Then, do it over and over. Train your list to RESPOND.

Last Thoughts

Building lists is great. But, if you build a dead list, you’re just wasting your time.

You have to build RESPONSIVE lists. You want people to WANT to buy your stuff. You want them to look forward to buying your stuff.

I have a friend who makes more moolah with his list of under 1,000 than other knuckleheads make with lists of 100,000.

I’m serious.

A responsive list can support your entire business.

Wooing customers is a little bit like dating. No, you can’t present the engagement ring on your first date! There’s a two-way relationship that grows one step at a time before it leads to the church doors. You can’t rush it… you can’t skip it… if you’re looking for the satisfaction of a life-long commitment.

Getting to know your date, or getting to know your customer takes a little time and effort. The personality, likes and dislikes of each date are different, but customers share some commonalities that you, the marketer, can grab onto. Give them what they want, and they’ll become the loyal, life-time customers that make your business prosper.

1. Forget About Selling… Put The Emphasis On Buying
People like to think that all of their buying decisions were reached due to their own great ideas and skillful shopping. Hey, no one is fond of a pushy salesman. A salesman who “HELPS” them discover the best buy for their buck on the other hand, is a hero.

Really, when a person walks into your place of business, they are most likely thinking of making a purchase before they get there. You don’t have to persuade them to buy. You can take it easy, and simply help them decide what the best purchase is.

Keep your focus on the customer and his needs. Think… what benefits would he be most interested in? What is the price range he can afford? Basically, keep in mind that you are there to serve his needs, not persuade him. Ah, the pressure’s off!

2. Make Purchasing A “Sure Bet”
Buying is a “risky” business. The higher the price tag reads, the higher the risks are! Yep, a customer is just looking for a product that satisfies the needs he purchased it for. The question they ask themselves is… “Is it worth it?”

Hey, it’s a legitimate question. The world is full of scams where you spend your hard earned cash and end up with trash that doesn’t last and that you can’t get serviced. A few tough lessons, leave customers wary about off-the-cuff purchases. They want something they can trust.

A money back guarantee alleviates a great amount of concern in the mind of the consumer. There’s peace in knowing that if the product doesn’t live up to its claims, they aren’t stuck footing the bill for a piece of junk.

Customer testimonials also clearly tell “would be” buyers that you really do deliver customer satisfaction. No one can say it better than a satisfied customer, but don’t carelessly use testimonials. You need a method to your madness. Pick clear and specific testimonials to use, and include as much about the customer as you possible can to lend credence to his testimony.

3. Let Them Know That It’s As Quick and Easy As 1, 2, 3
Simplicy… ah, it makes life so much easier. Yeah, your harried customers are busy and tired. They don’t want to mess around. Most of the time, they just want to make the purchase and head home. Convenience stores testify to the fact that quick and easy often overrides a better price!

Make the buying process as simple as you possibly can. Remember that not everyone prefers the same method. The more options you have available, the more customers you will please.

When you’re planning your marketing campaign, don’t forget to point out the quick, fast, and easy benefits of your product. Remember that value isn’t everything.

It’s pretty easy to charm your customers when you know what they like! Keep these 3 tactics in mind as you go about the daunting task of growing your business and expanding your customer list… and watch your profits go through the roof.

Do it Right.

I receive postcards all the time. The other day I received a postcard trying to sell me a copy machine. It had tiny, tiny lettering slathered all over the front and a large portion of the back of the card.

It was extremely hard to read, so hard in fact that I threw it away.

Several days later I received a postcard with 32 words on it telling me that I could get complete information on unrestricted long distance telephone service for 5.5 cents a minute with no additional monthly fee by calling the 800 number on the card.

I did call. I got the information, had my questions answered and ordered my long distance service changed.
The company who offered me the long distance service was using a time tested 2 step selling process:

Step 1. Generate a lead – Get me to call their 800 number.

Step 2. Provide the requested information – Provided to me on the phone by one of their sales representatives, who was able to answer my questions and make me feel confident that I could save quite a bit of money on my long distance bill and that the service would be as good or better.

What’s So Good About 2 Steps?

It is much easier to create interest (a lead) than it is to get a person through an entire buying process (a sale).

You aren’t getting the prospect or existing customer to part with any money just yet.

You can use postcards to inexpensively promote to your target prospects and customers and generate leads (inquiries about your products and services) to then be followed up on and converted to sales.

This 2 step process also helps you to create a list of people who were interested enough in what you offered to contact you.

You can then recontact the one’s who you didn’t complete a sale with when they first inquired, preferably until they do buy from you.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to get the information you will need to recontact the people who responded to your postcard offering.

Repetitive follow-ups with the people who contacted you will result in increased sales. Make it a company policy to follow up with those people who contacted you about your products and services.

The Most Effective Use of Postcards:

The purpose of your postcard’s message is to generate a sufficient level of interest in the mind of your prospect to get him/her to contact you to ask you about your offer.

You are generating interest, not collecting their money (not yet anyway). That is what the 2 step marketing process is about. Generating interested prospects and customers who contact you for more information.

Your message needs 3 parts to be most effective:

1.	A clear statement of the biggest benefit of your product or service (in the long distance example, it was cost savings).

2.	A good reason for them to contact you NOW.

3.	A simple, easy way for them to respond (an 800 number for example).

Your message should be short and to the point. Short messages on postcards produce more leads than long ones.

For example:

Call 800-555-1212 for Your Copy of Our Free Report:

What 99% of Business Owners Don’t Know and Will Never Find Out About Using Postcards to Explode Their Profits

Offer ends 5-5-01 (Print a date 3 weeks from your mailing date to create some urgency)

Lots of people will respond to find out what they might not know. Don’t forget, they responded, which is least some interest in the information you have created a curiosity about.

This method works and is sure to produce a large number of inquiries if sent to your proper market.

This 2 Step Marketing Process Works.

Use the tips you have read here to create your next postcard’s message and see what happens.

You will generate a bunch of leads from people who are truly interested in your products and services.
